Default Google Maps - some town names missing?

Hi,

We collected our new XC60 last week.

I have noticed that the maps in Google Maps do not show the names of all towns; the names pf small towns (and some not-so-small) are not shown, even when zoomed in.

Just wanted to ask whether others are seeing similar behaviour?

It's not the end of the world as Google Maps will get me to my destination but it would be nice to see the names of the places through which we are travelling.

A few examples, all in Lancashire:

Clitheroe
Read
Simonstone

All are named in the iOS version of Google Maps.
