No sound
Happened a couple of times in the past 4 weeks
No sound coming out of stereo although stereo seems to operate perfectly No park Assist No seat belt warning Everytime, turn off ignition and sound is back! Car is march 2010 so still under warranty... But a fault like that is going to be hard to reproduce.. Any suggestion? Many thanks |

Check the connections on the amplifier under the drivers seat. Only a guess, so probably not the correct answer, but if its wet under there it may be the right direction.

That happened to my XC90 MY10, but only once a couple of months after I bought it new, nearly reversed into a tree as the parking assistance didn't beep! Stereo, RPA, Phone, Sat Nav, all appeared to work OK but with no sound at all. Drove home, used the car 1 hour later and the 'sound' worked perfectly, never happend again.
So as you say nearly impossible to diagnose................ |

Hi, Does your car have built in bluetooth conectivity? It has happened to me previously and it turned out the audio was connected to the blueooth even though I was not in the middle of a call.I corrected by pressing the red( cancel) button on the bluetooth thingy. |
