Hi Mate to remove the tow bar you need to remove the rear bumper which involves drilling out the pop rivets around the rear wheel arches or removing the bumper with inner arches attached first option is easier but means new pop rivets to refit under the back bumper there are two bolts one each side IIRC these are torx bolts can't remember the size though once the rivets & bolts are removed carfully pull the bumper backwards easing the sides away from the body, you then need to remove the bumper monuting brackets you will see each side think it 4 bolts (mark the location of the brackets as they effect the bumper height) & I think 2 bolts going up through the end of the chassis leg each side & then remove all the extra bits of the towbar each side.

HTH

On the electrics depends how they been fitted best thing to do is trace the harness back from the tow socket/s to find out where they are connected the could be wired direct to the tail lights via scotch locks or plugged into the loom if genuine Volvo wiring

Not sure on the dog guard as I don't have one on mine, wish I did LOL.
There were 2 people asking the same question a week or so ago so do a search of this forum you should find the post

Heres one of the posts it might help
