2001 xc70 for sale
after careful consideration i have decided that alas I must sell my cherished
xc70 it has a few issues which i don't have the time or money to sort out but has mot till august and is running and driving daily it is blue with alloys and in good condition a few small rust bubbles here and there a chip out of one reverse light that's been through two mots. interior is clean(needs a good hover its a bit hairy in the boot ) its full leather, full electronic front seats with memory ,heated front seats , air-con , 4 disc cd auto changer ,tv(analog) & sat nav (no Disc) has an ipod connector( the imiv Classic) all electronics in the cabin are fully functioning it has a part volvo (till 2009service history) but a full service history(serviced at a volvo specialist not main dealer) and all receipts . the issues are:- 1. the drivers side door doesn't always lock or rather when you lock it it pops back up this sometimes results in a battery drain so the battery is not in tiptop condition (new alternator and battery fitted in 2010) and I always carry a jump starter which I will include if required 2. Today an orange light came on shaped like an engine which the manual says is an emissions problem it is still running but does sometimes splutter a bit this is intermittent and i have been told by a garage that it is an oxygen sensor but I wouldn't bet my life on that . I love this car to bits and if I could afford to repair and run it I wouldn't sell it I have owned it from 2009 and it has had new front and back brakes and shocks (self levelling) and new tyres in the last 18 months its a beautiful car but i have been made redundant and my wife is a mobile care assistant and we just cant afford to run it any more I am not asking stupid money and would consider any reasonable offer, the car also has a factory fitted dog guard it is in Torquay Devon and would need to be collected I have two sets of keys with two working remote locking fobs and I am willing to email photos or videos to any interested parties also i will answer any questions I really want it to go to a good home as the thought of scrapping such a lovely car breaks my heart any one who has ever worked on the car has remarked what a nice example of an xc70 it is and with a bit of cash and know-how could be restored to its former glory and continue on for a long time. it is just shy of 149000 miles but don't let that deter you it is an awesome car for its age/mileage |
