Default SatNav problems with Irish Border

Anyone on the island of Ireland having problems getting the satnav to cross the border?

On our way north it showed a 'do not enter' sign on the M1/A1 at the border (which we ignored) and had no issues. It tried to take us off at the last exit in the Republic and across the border on secondary roads.

Returning south from Belfast it tried to take us off the A1 long before the border and go cross country to the west ("changed traffic conditions - do you want to add 45 minutes to your journey?...) , again we ignored it and there were no delays on the M1/A1.

We've made several trips to Northern Ireland and this is the first time this behavior presented itself. There were no traffic issues anywhere on our route.

Perhaps it was an issue with the OSS? The OSS (onboard sausage sensor) detects the presence of banned goods and diverts the vehicle accordingly...... 😁

But seriously maybe it was just an erroneous traffic report which happened to be at the border? Google occasionally shows road closures where the road is actually open so maybe it was something similar?

Definitely down to Brexit,

Post it over on the Brexit thread, if you want to stir that pot.
