Default Turbo choices

I'm going to upgrade my turbo - currently I have a standard 940 lpt.

I was going to go for a 15g with a conical housing for ease of fitting - But as I'm going to be making an exhaust and would prefer 3" from the turbo back is it worth going for a 16T or even a 15g flat flange as I'm going to have to make the downpipe anyway?

If I did this does anyone know what parts I would need to mate the turbo up to the downpipe? Or should I just stick with the 15g and then from what i've seen, reduce the 3" downpipe to fit the current sized flange, im just thinking could be more work than just welding on a new flange to the downpipe - any ideas or experiences would be really welcome.

Thanks

Dom

Not the same car, but same engine in my 240, a b230fk. I decided to go for a 15G simply because a good cheap 'un came up for sale at that time. If a 16t or even 18/19t came up cheap at the time it might have been a different story.

But i must say the 15g is a nice upgrade from the 13c! It will need to be clocked to fit, and i went for a straight exit, not angled.

Cheers for that, the 15g does seem to be a good upgrade and i'm aware of the reclocking - far too long spent on here reading posts!

Did you make a new downpipe for yours?

Complete custom downpipe (and full system) to clear the steering rack on a 240. Something you shouldnt have an issue with on a 940!

Default scrap

If you get one request the top of the fwd downpipe. The flat one is fine for a 15g or 16T.
