Default Wanted Old Speedo Cables

I am looking for Amazon speedo cables . They must be the old design which allows you to remove the inner cable from the sleeve . All the ones I have have a crimped end on the inner cable each end which prevents easy removal of the inner from the outer sleeve . i need them for fitting sensors to .
Its a common problem these days as the majority of new cables seem to have pressed ends which don't allow modification .

Thank you

Alan

I probably have a few sitting round.I used to carefully grind off the brass collar that stops the inner being pulled out when I was playing with rally cars.I did have the tool for making up the square ends on cables, but sold it on ebay a while ago.I will get in touch when I am next digging round in my workshop and let you know what I have.Cheers Dave

Thanks dave . Its for the Pv that Angus and I are building for rallying .
He can always pick them up as he did with the other parts .Ive tried to remove the clips but i just damage the cables !
Anything you've got ill be grateful for ,I've got another amazon to do at some point which will no doubt have the same problem so if you've got more than one so much the better .

cheers

Alan

I shall take them to work later on in the week and then Angus can pick them up whenever he wants. You must swing by my own workshop one day so you can pick up any other bits and pieces you may find useful, particularly since you are doing another amazon.Cheers Dave
