480 celebration-non running

Hi All
I tried you all a couple of years ago to see if anyone wanted this Volvo 480 celebration that used to be my dads. I ran it for a while but haven't had it on the road for a couple of years now.
I'd really like it to go for parts so if anyone has a way of transporting it and it's not too far (I'm in Derbyshire, Nr Bakewell) then it's here for you. I would like a small amount of money for it but nothing more than the scrap man would give me for it - So please do get in touch if your interested. Afraid I have a time limit in that it needs to be gone before the 18th of this month.
Hope someone can make some use of it.

Hi Ruth,

I could be interested, Im in Derby. Do you have any pictures of it and could you tell me why it isn't running? Does it have a fault or has it just been laid up for a while? Is it suitable just for parts or would it be viable to get it on the road again?

Hi Adam

I'm pretty sure it would be 'do-up-able' but I'm not sure if you could actually get it running to drive it away. It was all pretty ok when I was running it. I only took it off the road because I work & live on farms & it wasn't really practical for my commute.

I'm pretty sure the battery will be flat. It used to go flat even when it was running; something to do with the alarm or something draining the battery. It was ok as long as you didn't leave it for more than a couple of days.

I'll take a few pictures and send them on to you.

I really do hope you'd like it as it was my dad's and he was keen for it to be used/re-used.

A scrap dealers called me the other day and they said they'd take it away and give me £100.00 for it. So if you'd like it for any more than that then it's yours.
