Also spotted this one.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Now then, what makes this worth four times the asking price of the blue one? Puzzled of Maidenhead. |

E-bay rash!

That white one has been up for sale before a few times on one of the less well visited classic car sites. Interesting that presently (5pm Monday) there ain't no bids on either car! Practical Classics has the 144 /164 / 244 / 240 price ranging between £200 to£300 for a 'project', £800-ish for 'Condition 2' and £1750 to £2000 for a 'Condition 1'. I guess it's always possible that someone will pay way over the odds, and good luck to the seller who gets away with it. Personally speaking I'm in the market for an interesting and tidy 144 / 164 / 244 / 240, and I'll happily pay within the PC guide prices. If you look in the nether reaches of the 'Car and Classic', 'Autotrader', or 'Classic Cars for Sale' websites, you'll find several Volvo 100 and 200 - series cars looking very smart, with £2000 + price tags that have been there a very very long time!
