I have a 2007 xc90 d5. Most of the time it drives perfect but on occasion it drives like the turbo isn’t working. Does anyone have any ideas where to start looking.

See if there's any fault codes via diagnostics.

Could be something as simple as a split hose, swirl flap arm not connected...

Has it been regularly serviced, particularly the fuel filter? Is it motorway driven to clean the DPF out?

If there is a bad connection or fault with the catalyst or DPF temperature sensor the engine will restrict power but no MIL lamp or message.

Hence, as said ^^^, get the codes read.
