maindealer only chap if the codes have seperated or needs a software update if its the newer one.

if alarm starts blarring just disconnect the alarm and pull the plug out from under where the fuses are on drivers side(silver box will be clicking with the indicators flashing, you'll lose interior lights on door opening, central locking.)

no major thing, just annoying if you have got use to one press locking

Mine is phase 1,alarm is ok, as it wasnt locked with FOB, so I can still lock/unlock with the key and starts fine.Just annoying as when you have something and then dont, you miss it.Its strange how its just gone,as it was working.I did read somewhere you can turn on/off the ignition 5times and then press the fob button to pair it up again.I dont want to try it,just in case it cause something else not to work.Unless anyone else has any other tips?as my main dealer is a fair distance from me.

Default similar experience

I bought 99 Treg last year and one morning neither of my FOBs would work. so I unlocked the car and had to drive to work with the alarm going. Obviously I got pulled by the police and said I wasnt allowed through the mersey tunnel so had to turn back, got home and got both fobs and pressed both at the same time and hey presto it worked, but now only one fob will work, I took them to volvo who tested them and said they was both broadcasting a very strong signal. It hasnt happened since. very odd. can anyone tell me why one of them suddenly stopped working?
