Default Sat nav Reader

Hi Everyone this is my first post so excuse me if i get it a bit wrong!

I have read a lot of posts as a guest that has been really helpful so decided
to join so I can contribute in the future too hopefully

I have a 2003 XC90 D5 AWD and have just replaced the sat nav reader with a second hand unit I know works from another broken XC90
The screen pops up and the map loads for a few seconds then it shuts down.

Has any one had this problem before? any help would really be appreciated

Ta

Sounds like it needs to be coded to your vehicle which is, I think, a dealer job.

Thought so...
Also just found out it will work if MOST turned off. But apparently a dealer wont
do that.

Cost me £ 200 !!

I think some dealers will turn MOST off.

There was a thread on here recently about someone installing an aftermarket ipod adaptor (or some such) in place of the original CD multichanger.

That required MOST to be turned off. If you can find that thread, you might get some pointers.
