Default common problems

OK, so on my S60 D5, i have had the following sorted:

Turbo hose, was split.
DIM - no dash.
Handbrake shoes, and new discs and pads all round.

what other common problems should i look out for and maybe sort out?
(also just had clutch replaced along with tyres x4)

Other things to look forward to, we have had, are clutch position sensor contaminated by fluid giving engine service required message, pcb in steering column going leading to loss of indicators, headlight dip etc, worn idler pulley on aux drive belt giving noise at idle and big oscillations of aux belt (improved idler pulley should be fitted).
And just this week brake light coming on when changing gear - push clutch pedal left to fix.

Injectors are a problem on that age too and they are a real pain to source second hand in both reasonable condition and price

Problem usually shows itself through difficult or taking longer than normal to start, poor performance I.e. surging under acceleration, increased fuel consumption and most of the time they won't produce a fault code within the car, so again a real pain to ascertain if they are the sole source of problems.

Glad to hear you've already had the clutch slave cylinder replaced

how long is 'longer than normal' to start then? more than a second or so?

it's done 156k if that makes a difference

Just replaced an injector on my 04 plate S60 D5 at 161k miles. Only real symptom was lumpy idle. Other than that ran fine. Leakback test however showed no 1 injector returning 32ml in 2 min of idle while other were in the range 23 to 26ml

Other problems I've had are

1. Top engine mount (twice but now new design version fitted)
2. lower front bushes
3. front and read drop links
4. intercooler
5. alternator freewheel pulley

I think all of the above are common faults from what I've read.
