Default PCV valve kit??

Hi I was wondering where you can buy a PCV kit for a 1999 V70 2.5 20v.
Is it Volvo only or are there other companies that supply?

I recently brought the car and it's chugging out of the dipstick.

So as now I've got a fair amount of time off I thought I'd tackle it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks simon

Tonnes of options, Volvo, eBay, PartsForVolvos, etc. A quick Google will reveal all.

Bought the parts from Parts For Volvos Online. Supplied as individual parts rather than a kit but all arrived together with a diagram of which part went where.

Just replaced the PCV system on a 10V 850, which I assume is similar... If you want to do the job cheaply, the following might be useful...

I bought a new oil trap box, as it's quite difficult to get all the gunk out of the old one, and they're not that expensive...

I bought a new rubber elbow and lower connector to fit the oil trap to the block, but neither matched the parts that came off, and I couldn't get them to fit, so ended up reusing the existing parts.

I replaced the large hose running from the oil trap to the throttle body with 16mm I/D fuel hose. The smaller hose running from the left-hand side of the manifold to the throttle body was replaced with 5mm fuel hose.

Also replaced the manifold gasket, although I'm sure you could reuse the existing one unless it's obviously damaged.

It was a bit of a faff to get everything connected up, but it's all back together now and running fine... No more smoking dipstick!

I got mine from FRF Volvo Swansea, by post. I just asked for a complete kit and they put it together and sent it to me, very good service. It contained everything I needed, and wasn't particularly expensive, and it's all original quality Volvo stuff. I'm sure PFV are also good, your call.

+1 for FRF, they also give a bit of discount if you mention this forum.
The added bonus with FRF is that with them being a Volvo dealer you know what you get will fit.
Send a message to Rufe on this forum and he’ll sort you out.
Good luck.

it says use 5/8 inch hose instead of factory hose to get rid of smoke
