Default Cracking up! (headlight lenses...not me) :-)

Hi folks,

I'm seriously thinking of taking the plunge and wiping out a big wedge of cash on buying two front headlight replacements. The embedded cracking in the lenses is not getting any better (nor will it) - and I suspect an MOT "query" on this come January...if not...then in Jan 2025.

I've seen lense replacements (and the slightly scary DIY process that's probably easy to c0ck up).

I've looked on Auto Parts Pro (Autodoc will be next): https://www.autopartspro.co.uk/carpa...%5B4%5D=902482

There appears to be different makes:

- DIEDERICHS
- TYC
- JOHNS Autoteile
- ALKAR
- ABAKUS
- VAN WEZEL
- KLOKKERHOLM

Has anybody bought new replacement units? Or any thoughts on the different makes? They all seem the correct fitment etc. I have no idea, and no way of telling whether any of them are good, bad or indifferent. And no idea how they compare to genuine Volvo ones (which are way above what I'd want t spend on a 13 yo car with +160k on the clock!

Any thoughts and advice warmly welcomed!
