S40 manual boot release?
A friend had the boot lock pressed in as I unlocked the car now the button is stuck in and it won't unlock!
Tried locking and unlocking loads of times and also tried to remove the carpet to get at the mechanism but the screws just spin

Basically your kind at the remove the trim stage, If the screws are spinning then try to get a flat head under the screw and while unscrewing using the flat head to lift the screw up. I found that's my only method of removing those type of screws.
Otherwise its a yank the trim off as hard as you can and repair it. |

I've a many times got to the point of frustration and I've had to rip it off to be able to get it working again and then just get a new trim. I'm sure there's plenty available on here from people at reasonable costs
Obviously I'm sure you'd rather not. So trying getting the screws off like I said or any other methods you may know. |
