Radio Problem?
Hi Folks
I've noticed this happen lately. If I sit in the car after turning the engine off I'll get a message saying "low battery, entertainment system shutting down in 2 mins" etc, which it then does. It then comes back on briefly for about 5 seconds before switching off again. It'll continue doing this until I open the driver's door. Any ideas please? Thanks

Just maybe it , (the car) is thinking that you are just sitting in and not getting out. So it is just reminding you that the battery is low. Once you open the door, no more need to remind you.

I've had the low battery shutting down for the last couple of years and it does exactly what it says so, sorry, I don't know why yours should be different.
More annoying is that i can't sit in the car listening to the radio. It will give me an extra 2 minutes but then says power saving mode and shuts straight off. I guess I should replace the battery but it always starts fine.

My 2012 V60 does the same, I can, to a degree, understand the reasoning but it's still annoying! I've decided to live with it as I'm not buying a new battery when it starts OK and the battery is at 12.4 volts+ when checked after sitting overnight! There's not much worth listening to on the radio anyway.

get an external battery charger and charge it up. This fixed mine i recall (for a short time), but you may find start/stop doesnt work either.
Seems to be a common issue, especailly if not used regularly and sometimes even if it is. the external charger will charge the battery fully as it seems the cars charging cant quite keep it full but just topped up.

Doesn't the radio work on the small battery and if so then maybe have that checked for charge.I have just had a new big battery fitted to my s60 bur the stop/start is still not working.
