Default LPG going up and up

Hi Guys,

I have noticed over the last few months my usual garage (Shell) has put LPG up from 45.9 - 56.9.

This is making a noticable difference.

Does anyone know where I might get it cheaper?

My Daily commute, Starts at Nelson in Lancashire, goes through Glusburn, Keighley, Shipley and ends in Bradford.

If anyone knows of a cheap garage on that route (or near) it would be much apprieciated.

Thanks,

Dave.

LPG has gone up due to the high demand with the cold weather. In other words they charge what they think they will get for it. My local yeard has gone from 49p to 51p.

Default LPG=Low price gas?

I've noticed a recent price hike too. Locally now it's 55p to 58p per litre. Having said that, unleaded is anything up to 115p around here, so LPG is still good value, albeit in relative terms.

Remember when LPG was 29p per litre - 2005 that was - when I first got my conversion done....those were the days!

Total, Shell and and especially BP are always the most expensive LPG outlets. Supermarkets (Morrisons especially) are usually pretty good, as are Jet stations. There are both Jet and Morrisons in Keighley.

I believe (could be wrong) that the Jet stations in Keighley are now owned by Murco who are still currently getting fuel (inc lpg) on an old Connoco contract (Jet stations used to be owned & run by Connoco Philips until a load of stations were sold to FuelForce, who then went bust and Murco acquired most of the stations) - this old contract will be coming to an end in a few years so I expect the "Jet" prices will rise to be comparable with the likes of BP, Shell etc at some point within the next few years.

I've just bought an Lpg converted car and I looked around on the various sites to find my LPG filling stations, I have only one station available to me in Bedford.

Its a BP so i'll be paying 63.9p and I'll have to go out of my way to fill up there which is a shame. But with a 4.0 engine it'll still be worthwhile.

Are there any other places to look out for that might sell LPG that arent listed on the various sites.

Hello

The garage in Blackburn on Preston Old Road (A6?) usually has LPG at under 60p litre. - Mind you, it has been a couple of weeks since I last filled up there!

This is all I could find for Bedford:
http://www.getlpg.org.uk/stations/bedfordshire

Filled up yesterday at the guys who fitted my system, they are still doing 52p per litre so I will start making the effort to go there more often - it's only a couple of miles out of my way so the saving will be worth it.

They said they are hoping to move to new premises just up the road and if they do they'll put a 24 hour pump in which would be excellent as I can drop in on Sunday and fill the tank

Default 24hr LPG

Would that more businesses would put in credit card 24hr pumps. They are common in Norway. I have a season ticket for the ones at Arendal and the one just south of Dombas!

Don't see what the problem is as "the boys" don't seem to do many "make-offs" from garage LPG pumps - they are scared of being clocked whilst filling up as it takes (relatively) so long!
