Default Leaky glass sunroofs

This is a common problem to anything fitted with that invention of the Devil, the glass sunroof.
What can anyone recommend for sealing the darned thing up? I mean, solid so that it wont open.
Silicone sealer seems a bit useless, I've tried Duct tape over the join, but that blows off after a few days.
I ought to confess here, that the vehicle isn't a Volvo, but the principle is the same. Soggy carpets are soggy carpets.
Sliding roofs? in our climate? bonkers.

I've heard Tiger Seal is the way to go. Keep meaning to put some on mine since it drips a bit.

Ive finally given up on having a leak free sunroof on my 745 and have ordered some of this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2209718721...84.m1439.l2649

Quite a few people (mainly land rover owners) have said they've used it to good effect so im hopeful, if its used on boats im sure itll work on a sunroof no problem.

Tiger seal is brilliant stuff I used it to bond and seal Sebring valances to an MG, really sticks, it's essentially a seam sealer. We have a local Waterloo motor factors who sell it.

Maybe it's not a coincidence that I know about Tiger Seal as my housemate used it to seal the sunroof on his Disco.

Do like any normal person like me would do (Ahem!) and cut the roof off and replace it with one sans sunroof
