And ended up with a 2 bike Volvo bike carrier! Though in fairness I have been researching towbar mounted bike racks - and it just so happened that my dealer had one in stock, so to save me a trip back there, I bought it! Marked as Volvo though it is actually a Thule Coach 274- exactly what I wanted, my bike within the weight limits, 13 pin electrics with built in fog and reversing lights. (and at a very competitive price!) - Now to explain to SWMBO when she sees it!

I did the same a couple of years ago. Went in for something, asked about roof bars for my V40. Parts manager came out, said he had a bought a pair in for another customer, who hadn't collected them. I got them for cost
