General: - S40 D2 ECU (software)

Hi all,

I would like to backup my entire ECU (software) but I couldn't find any info so far.
I would be much appreciated if someone could guide me, or point me to an article about how to do it.

dont mess with the ecu you could end up bricking it. it would be expensive to replace

I understand your concerns but I'm not gonna tweak it. Just a software back up for just in case. I guess it's not that risky with the proper tools and procedure.

leave well alone , volvo will always load in the car specific software for you if you ever need it for some unusual reason !
