Default new to a V70

Hello, Just landed myself a 05 V70 2.4 diesel auto 185000 miles , how do I know what model it is, I presume its an SE ? and what do I need to know /? what isnt bullet proof ? ohh and one think ive found is the ciggy lighter in the dash doesnt work but the others do, the rear passenger and the boot ones are ok

It might say on V5 if it’s an SE, but rule of thumb if it’s got leather seats it’s likely to be an SE. If it’s got heated seats, you’ve also got the winter pack.

Which engine has it got? Black or silver cover? 2005 was the change over year.

yes leather seats, cream interior, only drivers seat is electric adjusting, both are heated though , engine cover is black, are there different 5cylinder engines then ?

Black engine cover is a 163bhp unit (euro 3), the silver on is a 185bhp (euro 4) with more emissions gubbins. The E3 engine in a facelift body is thought by many to be the best of the P2 line.

ok cool, thanks ERRRmmmm err facelift ? and what is the winter pack you mention...it does get warmed up in the cabin pretty quick? perhaps thats me used to Landrover Discovery 2 ? well it is another TD5

Winter pack is heated seats and headlight washers.

Easiest way to tell if it is face lift- it will have plastic lens headlights.

Brilliant thank you, yes they are plastic, clear ones with no pattern, they have the sun damage, and misty which doesnt help the headlights one bit, another job on the list

The trim panel on the passenger or drivers door tells you the trim level
