Default Questions about VNS and Lane Departure Warning

Hello everyone!

I recently got a new XC60R and absolutely love this machine!

I have a couple of simple questions (did search the print manual and the forums):

#1. Regarding the navigation system, I know you can "pause" the itinerary, but is there a way to actually cancel an itinerary altogether?

#2. I find that the Lane Departure Warning goes off with false alarms more than I would care to hear. This typically happens when I pass a turn lane (and the white line on one side of the road then disappears for a brief time). I know you can make the system more sensitive (which mine is not set for), but not less. Is anyone else bothered by this, and, if so, what has been your solution (other than turning it off)?

Thanks a lot!

Michael

Easiest/Safest/Quickest way to cancel the itinerary is to use the voice system.

Just press the button, wait for the beep, and the say "Navigation Cancel Guidance". The system prompts for confirmation (say Yes or No), and you're done.

LDW was the 1st system I turned OFF when I brought my XC60, whilst I think it is a great idea it is only really suitable for long journeys on major Motorways or what ever you call them stateside.
I personnally only turn it ON when I am on a long journey - often at night - when if I should start to get tired & drift over a white line without indicating then I get a nice wke up call..............

Turn it off in town, see manual page 201. Trick is to remember to turn it back on again when appropriate.
