Default Speed controls

1. Does anyone else find cruise control varies widely. Put it on at 40 and speed varied between 38 and 43! Is this because it is automatic and the road wasn't flat?

2. Speed limiter won't cancel without stopping and restarting car.

We're also having a few issues with the control panel loading properly, car is only a month old so not ideal.

I don't use cruise too much other than on motorways, but the speed variation is fairly normal on A/B roads - the cruise control can't anticipate hills/descents as we would and so reacts a lot later.

Not sure about 2. though sorry, I only used it once to try it out and haven't touched it since.

Standard response for issues with the software is take it in for an update though, there's really not much else that can be done.

I haven't had any problems with cruise control. Found it very precise, although long inclines do have an impact, especially down hill.
as for cancelling you should be able to cancel with the button on the steering wheel, and it will cancel when you touch the brakes.

Can you confirm if you are using 'cruise' or 'adaptive cruise' control. TBH, I haven`t used straight 'cruise' always the adaptive and it has no problems on mines.

It's an XC60. 2020 model. Not adaptive cruise control. We also have an Audi and on that one when you set cruise control it stays spot on, hence the question.
We know it should cancel speed limiter but it doesn't.

Then to be honest, I`d say a trip back to the dealer should be your next move.

Even if there is nothing wrong with the car, someone will go through any of the controls you`re not sure about. It may just be some setting or something.

Cruise on mine is +/- 2mph, generally it lets it drift a bit before braking, it only happens on hills. Mercedes will brake constantly to keep it in there which isnt very efficient.

Keep in mind though that the speedometer over-reads (on mine its exactly 2mph) so it never actually over-speeds.

On the speed limiter, I can get it switched off during a run, BUT I couldn’t tell you how to do this, you need to just keep pressing the 3 ‘cruise’ buttons till you get it back to ACC or Pilot Assist. Its a bit of a faff on the odd occasion where I inadvertently trigger it

My car has ACC/Pilot Assist, I understand yours may not be.

Speed limiter wont cancel by touching the brakes. It is only cuise which does that.

Cancel limiter by either pressing the button on the wheel (think it is the zero but not with the car right now) or by pressing the left/right buttons on the left hand side of the wheel thumb controls. This cycles off limiter and onto cruise control.

Do you have the car’s driving mode set to ‘Eco” as that will give you the +/- speed variations as per your original posting?
