Hazard warning lights
Hi, again. My 69 doesn't have hazard warning lights as standard. How dificult / easy to convert. I note that there are three connector tabs on the relay/clicker but only two connected.

I would expect it's fairly easy.
Years ago, I rewired my first car ('72 Hillman Hunter) to have hazards, using the existing flasher relay. I can't remember exactly how, but it worked despite being a bodge. My '69 164 had hazard lights and I'd expect most Volvos the same age as yours and slightly later to have them. I suggest you ask a helpful soul on here who's got a spares car to send you the switch, wiring and relay, all reconnected together as they were on the car. I think it would be easy to work out from there (and the wiring diagrams are not difficult to access on line if you need to). The bonus on the early 100 series is that the hazards have a brilliant big round pull-switch that flashes red when the hazards are on! John |
