There is a plastic cog which drives it which will have broken. You will need to obtain a replacement. Dash out job but from memory pretty straightforward.

P.S. Only use the reset when the car is stationary

The cog will be peanuts. Maplins do one that fits 850's (they are prone to failure too). I think those ones are about 8p lol.

Just as an aside.......... I take it you've pressed the trip again since noticing the fault?

I ask as sometimes I find on mine that if I do not press it all the way home it seems that the cogs do not align correctly & therefore nothing move's. A second press realigns things & off it goe's again Thought it worth mentioning anyway

Not sure if they are shown on Maplins site, I'd imagine it'd require a visit with the 'offending' cog to get a match.............

This place does them: http://www.odometergears.com/volvo.html

Mind you $25 for a bit of plastic!

There appears to be another 'how to' on that site too
