There is a plastic cog which drives it which will have broken. You will need to obtain a replacement. Dash out job but from memory pretty straightforward.

Good starting point here!
http://www.davebarton.com/240-odometer-repair.html Scott P.S. Only use the reset when the car is stationary |

The cog will be peanuts. Maplins do one that fits 850's (they are prone to failure too). I think those ones are about 8p lol.
Just as an aside.......... I take it you've pressed the trip again since noticing the fault? I ask as sometimes I find on mine that if I do not press it all the way home it seems that the cogs do not align correctly & therefore nothing move's. A second press realigns things & off it goe's again Thought it worth mentioning anyway

Not sure if they are shown on Maplins site, I'd imagine it'd require a visit with the 'offending' cog to get a match.............
This place does them: http://www.odometergears.com/volvo.html Mind you $25 for a bit of plastic! There appears to be another 'how to' on that site too
