  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Question faulty o2 sensor

if my o2 sensor before my cat in my 98 v70r is faulty will this decrease my performance and power

Yes it will and your fuel consumption will be very low, also you will see Black smoke out of the exhaust where it is running too rich, you will also eventually knacker your cat as well.

If there is no code set,it could be fuel pressure regulator.

Symptoms of a bad fpr are the same like with bad o2 sensor(black smoke from the exhaust,low power & HIGH fuel consumption),except that bad fpr will not throw a code.

well ill have the new 02 sensor fitted in a day or so and if no improvement ill try a new fpr ,thanks for tip mate
