Default Registration plate on my trailer?

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can display a black/silver reg plate on the rear of my 1990's trailer when my 1964 Amazon is towing it?

Or do I need to have a yellow/black modern one?

Thanks in advance

Manufacturing dates for caravans and trailers is immaterial! The plates have to be the same type and colour as fitted to the towing vehicle.

I'm fairly certain that the legislation is not that specific - so safe to assume same rules as for the towing vehicle.
