Just replaced battery and now what...?
On Saturday morning the battery died. As it usually is the case the car was fine to start up and drove out of the garage. Then I got into the house to get our little one for her Saturday morning practice but when I got into the case the Parking Brake Failure sign was blinking? Of coz the engine won't start either.
As it turned out the battery just decided to pack and gone to the battery heaven. Anyhow had to wait for 40 mins for our NRMA roadside assistant to turn up and replacing the battery. Thankfully as it's not 3 years yet since I bought the vehicle Volvo Australia is picking up the tap costing me nothing other than time and my little one missing out her morning practice - missus already left house with elder one to her Violin lesson. Now the car is back to normal - except most of settings are now back in default. I managed to set the clock and adjust anything missing under MENU but there's one thing I cannot seem to change. You see before all four windows would go down and up with single click of switch but now I have to keep pressing the switch to have the window down all the way and that includes the driver side as well. Anyone who can shed in some light? That would be much appreciated. TIA |

I think I found my own answer. ^ ^
--- Resetting If the battery is disconnected then the function for automatic opening must be reset so that it can work correctly. 1. Gently raise the front section of the button to raise the window to its end position and hold it there for one second. 2. Release the button briefly. 3. Raise the front section of the button again for one second. WARNING Resetting must be carriedout to ensure that pinch protection works. |

That is handy to know. Thanks.
Do you have to do each window separately or just reset one and it does the lot?

One shot down windows when they stop working need to be reset.I have reset mine a few times when this has happened (for no reason) by "rolling" them all down then "rolling" them all up and when they are closed holding all 4 buttons in the up position for a few seconds.
