XC90 Derv vs LPG
Right im still toying with the idea of an XC90 and I am between the 2.5T and getting an LPG conversion done or a 163 DERV that will run on Bio.
I already have a V40 converted to run on Gas by Simon at Yorkshire Autogas, which i am very happy with. Anyone have any experience with an LPG'd XC90?

I have converted a fair few of them (have a T6 in right now) but I would say the 2.5T is probably the best one to have converted. The 3.2 does also convert well and does have the advantage of no belt to change but I would stay away from very high millage ones as engine repairs can start getting very expensive.
As you are probably already aware make sure the gearbox is in good shape and working as it should |

Well I had an LPG V70 and I now have a diseasel Saab 93.
Not really comparing the cars, but in terms of the fuel alone then with the benefit of hindsight I'd choose LPG/petrol over diesel any day. Petrol cars are much nicer to drive, more responsive, quieter, not smelly, don't have DPFs (urgh!), etc etc etc. And LPG means that you can have all the best bits of petrol for the pence-per-mile cost of diesel. Once this Saab is knackered I intend to go back to petrol/LPG. Jack |
