Default XC60 rear brake upgrade

Has any one upgraded brakes at all. I have just purchased a 2012 D5 and considering EBC ultimax brake discs.

What would be the reason to upgrade them ? Most of the braking effect on modern cars is by the front brakes. Even the V60 Polestars have standard rear brakes; but much bigger front brakes ( maybe T6 AWD rear standard brakes ; are they bigger than the V60 FWD/ AWD diesels have ? ).

You could but most braking is done by the front end so I doubt it would make a noticeable difference.
