Cool Classic Swede Polybush kit

I've just treated my wagon to a Classic Swede full suspension red polybush kit!

OMG!!! I can't believe the difference in my cars handling, superb! Really inspires confidence and no more clunking and banging from the back end.

Many thanks Dai !!

How do these red poly bushes compare with the blue ones from SuperPro? The SuperPro ones give a substantially firmer ride. There are also softer, polyethylene bushes sold by Volvogue. I'm about to do all except the rear TABs in the rear suspension on my sedan (did the big rear TABs a few years ago). I haven't decided what to go for. I drive on a real mix of roads, from smooth motorways to concrete roads with expansion joints (yuk).

Well I don't know tbh. Price was a big decider for me and I couldn't find anywhere that beat Dai's price for a full kit. He does them in different grades of firmness but I decided on the red as I wanted to tighten up the car as much as I could. I wouldn't say the ride is harsh, more tight and precise. Certainly not harsh compared to something like VW Golf/Passat estate ride quality.
I drive everything from dirt/gravel roads to motorways with full profile 195 70 15 van tyres.

Did you use a special tool to get any of the bushes out? I was think of the big ones - rear lower trailing arm to rear axle.

And are poly bushes harder to replace than the stock ones?

I've got that 'bag of rocks' sound going on in the back - it's clearly knackered bushes.

The bushes almost fell out! The polys just push in with the lube provided as long as the outer shells are clean and smooth. The big problem was getting the bolts out due to rust and seizing. The nuts ended up a couple of sizes smaller due to crumbling! So have some replacement nuts at hand.

The only time I've ever done this job, the outer shells had rusted through and fell to pieces. So I had to use the standard replacements anyway, and make up a puller with spacers between the lugs.

I don't think you can get empty shells without any rubber in them, for fitting poly bushes from scratch?
