Idle hunting
My 2000 P2 V70 T5 has recently been hunting on idle. Not as bad when warmed up but still noticable.
I was going to remove and clean ETM next weekend. Could this be the cause of my problems ??? Thanks |

Indeed the ETM could be causing the idle to wander about, if the internal parts (that wear out) have started to fail then cleaning the inlet tract won't cure the fault.
I would start by cleaning it out then if that isn't the cure get the car scanned for fault codes before you decide on the next action needed, to clean the ETM you need to take it off the inlet manifold as the crud builds up on the inlet manifold side of the throttle butterfly. This thread would be better placed in the V70 2000+ section rather than in here as not many owners of a 140/ 164 series would know much about an ETM - Mike |

Thanks Mike. Don't quite know why I posted it in this section.
