contrary to popular belief and despite what many fitters will tell you, always keep the least worn tyres on the rear of your car. regardless of whether it is front or rear wheel drive.

I did these tests when working for Michelin at their test tracks in South Carolina. TYRE FITTERS OFTEN TELL YOU THE OPPOSITE.

ON my old 2.0D I stuck with Pirelli. I was quite happy with them, a good combination of grip and long life.

On my new Drive model I ordered the car with 16" wheels and the car even though it's Lux spec and has 17" as standard.

It has Michelin Energy. Thes tyres are very good. I've had no problems in Snow, they are very low rolling resistance (although that mamy be engine of course) and big thing is that after 25k miles, the front still have 6mm of tread and backs are at 7mm.

I also thing you get a better ride on slightly more rubber especially on poor state of UK roads.

I'd recommend them.

you may drive sensibly however someone could jump out in front of you...so you may not get a choice!

Was very happy with Vredstein Ultracs, Got Conti Contact 3 now and they are even better

Had Pirelli P6000 - truly awful.
