Default poor idling and stalling

i have the s40 1800 year2000 model the revs go up and down slightly the engine a bit rough and sometimes stalls mainly when its warmed up ive had a new coil pack that gave me more power back that ive lost ive also put on a mass air flow meter fitted and a new thottle control switch fitted and ive had the whole thing put on the computor with no faults so can anybody tell me why its still do it

I'd go with changing the spark plugs. Sounds like its deffo an ignition fault and the fact it happens more when it is warm suggests a sparking prob.

Mine does it occasionally - the usual cause is the Idle Air Control Valve and the throttle body being gunked up - a good clean with carb cleaner will improve will improve matters no end. Mine needs another "treatment" but I don't have enough time at present.

The IACV will probably look clean but you'll be surprised how much sh1t there is in the throttle body.

Also if you stand behind it when the idle is rough it'll sound like it's misfiring....

thanks for all your help but my brother who is a machnic told me not to use carb cleaner it s too dry he told me to use brake cleaner
