Default Anti roll bar links

Xc90 has been creaking over bumps

I got it diagnosed and was told that the passenger side suspension mounting and bearing needed to be replaced
So I decided to have both sides done at the same time.

Got xc back yesterday and it still creaks but much worse now. I took a photo of the anti roll bar links. One looks completey battered while the other one is new. Have these been refitted correctly? There seems to be too much space. Should it not be a tight fit?

I've ordered Meyle HD front and back anti roll bar links for the the xc90 for £50 and will get them all replaced as soon as they arrive.

Many thanks for your advice in advance.

Whenever you do anything to suspension or steering, it is best to always replace both sides at the same time.

One side was done, the other not. Go back to where you had the work done and complain.

The garage replaced just the suspension top mounts and bearings for both sides.

The anti roll bar link rods were the original ones that were there when i purchased the xc90 2 years ago.

It seems that they have not re-fitted them correctly? They should have at least told me that the anti roll bar links needed replacing.

Have they been fitted correctly?

They've basically left your car in an illegal state which would certainly fail an mot.
The link balljoint has no dust cover and all the grease is washed out.
No mechanic of any worth would fit that let alone without informing the customer so whether you let them fix it is up to you but I wouldn't allow them to change my air freshener.

Many thanks for the replies

Just P*ssed off since I knew something wasn't right and at the moment don't have the time to run around.

What makes it worse is the garage is well known and has a really good reputation. Not a volvo specialist but I have used them for many years for my BMW and Honda servicing without any issues.

Gona see what there response is and take it from there
