Question Breaking? '92 945s

Good Evening Everyone

I bought a '95 230FT 945 as a donor a couple months back, it's turned out better than i thought and i will be parting out my original '92 200F 945S (In my signature) instead and restoring/upgrading the boostwagon.

So as the clutch has vaporised itself finally and before i either let it rot to death or scrap it OR break it for no reason because nobody wants anything im sounding out any interest from you guys?

PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR A MANUAL CONVERSION KIT

There are a decent amount of parts I will be holding on to for spares and broken parts on the other car but i want to gauge interest in what parts people want. These are inconclusive lists and just what i think people will be interested in so if there's any part you want or pictures just ask me!

P.S. The car has done ~120K miles.

Available

ECU's FOR B200F
M47 5 SPEED (sloppy shift but quiet, smooth and no trouble in any gears)
CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER/PEDAL
CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER (can't speak for condition as not seen it yet)
PROP SHAFT/LINKS/CVs/
DIFF (open)
LIVE REAR AXLE (depending on if i can scrap chassis without axles)
MOST INTERIOR PLASTIC TRIM
UNPAINTED PLASTIC BUMPERS
BONNET (has some denting, if it doesn't sell its becoming a 4 man sledge)
DOOR SHELLS
GRILLE
(I have a chrome grille with broken locating tabs that has to be cable tie'd in to place which is simple but a small hassle, i can let go for cheap. Or a Perfect Grille which i have painted matte black (leaving the marque exposed naturally) and is an excellent finish but is worth much more as a result.)

Definitely Unavailable

ENGINE (some outer ancillary items may be available)
CLUTCH (because it's now a trail of dust halfway up a local hill)
EXHAUST (more holes than a connect 4 board)
HEAD/TAIL LIGHTS
MOST INTERIOR SWITCH-GEAR(Lights/heated window&seats etc)
WIPER MOTORS/PUMPS
DOOR CARDS/SWITCHES
STEEL WHEELS
MOST UN-SPRUNG COMPONENTS/CALIPERS/CONTROL ARMS ETC
GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY
LOAD COVER (i only have one and it's trashed )
STEERING WHEEL
CARPETS/MATS (ruined)

Do you know what ratio the back axle is?

Also is the aluminium scuff plate that fits on the rear end of the load deck in good condition?

I know it’s a long shot but any chance of a retractable load cover?

Cheers

This.

I'm idly looking for a 3.31.

Ah, the Holy Grail of back axles! I suspect being a B200F, it's a 3.91 or 4.09, can live in hope though!

Being manual a 3.73 or 3.54 is more likely

Good point Jim, either would be an improvement over a 3.91:1 (with a grumbly diff!) though! That's what i believe Volvo fitted to my 760 from new giving about 25mph/1000rpm in O/D or 4th as it is an auto.

The main problem for me is the grumbly diff though.

Try living with the silly 4.1:1 in my 965 2.5 manual, it’s ludicrous at motorway speeds 🤣
My 944 2.3T manual was a load better.

Cheers!

What's the mph/1000rpm in 5th then?

I know in my Rover the final drive is 4.11:1 and it's about 23mph/1000rpm until the torque converter lock up kicks in when it becomes nearer 25mph/1000rpm but 4th aka O/D is pretty high in it.

Allegedly it's a lower ratio for improved economy and/or driveability, knowing i got my best economy figures driving it between 80-90mph i can sort of believe that!

960 is bang on 3k at 70. Nudging 4K at 88.
940 was below 2400 at 70, and 1900 at 55 👍

Cheers
