Radio/Stereo: - radio code

Hi, I am hoping someone can please help. I have a 1996 850 GLT estate. following the installation of a new petrol pump I re-connected the battery and set to entering the radio code. I tried to enter the number 5 using that button but the number 4 comes up on the radio screen each time I press 5.I look forward to hearing from anyone who can please advise me. Thank you...Jack.

although you are entering the correct code it is not recognised correctly by the micro.
The unit is faulty i can repair the unit for you.
you can sent the unit to
central services (Ipswich)

if you mention this post on the Volvo site I will fix the labour at £40.00 regardless of what is needed. (post is £9.00) next day
We will replace all parts as necessary and complete overhaul the deck.

I can only give you the code if the unit has been in our worshop.
check if the unit has our label on the top.
If it has call me
