Default Stiff Key

Hi all,
So the ignition on my 2010 V50 was sticky so I sprayed a bit of WD40 which has loosened it up.
Previously turning the ignition the key would stick in the 3 position and not return but the WD40 seems to have resolved that and it's springing back nicely.
The only other thing it's doing is when I turn the car off its a bit stiff taking the key out. Anyone know what to do here? A bit more WD40 in the hole or is there something else I can do?

Maybe try some silicone grease instead?

Damn, dont go too crazy with spraying WD there, its the electrical components there and soaking it with WD40 not gonna make them happy.
SR is right, a bit of silicone spray may help but if its that badly seized maybe better to dismount it and clean outside of dash?

No I only lightly sprayed some WD around the outside of the unit, not in the key hole or anything. As you say electrics wouldn't be too happy with that.

Apparently it was a known issue fixed under warranty with a new key so will look into that.
