360 for drifting project
Welcome everybody. I'm going to build a drift car based on 360 3 door hatch and i'm looking for some informations. No one did it in my side before so i can't find any help on polish volvo owners forum. First of all i'd like to know wich engines are fit to it without too many problems (especially with transmition). I've found some already built cars on web, and most of them was with engines f6r from clio williams. Why this one. Why they didn't try to put any volvo engine into their cars? I've got one B52 engine from my old V70 and i thought i could use it for this project, but now i'm not sure anymore. I've been also thinking about 1.7 turbo from 480. Is there anybody who could share with me the expierience? Thanks for any help

Ahhhh I'm answering about drifting I must be ill.
Volvo 360s use a Volvo engine so you can fit the 2.0 and 2.3 turbo Volvo engines, they have a torque tube providing drive to the rear mounted gearbox. The 340s use a renault engine with a fragile propshaft providing drive to the rear mounted gearbox, the 340 has a different bell housing so Renault engines and volvo 400 series engines (still essentially a renault engine) can be fitted to these. Then you weld the rear diff and go sideways... But I didn't tell you any of this info because I hate 300 series being used for drifting. |
