Default Telephone battery killing main battery

My XC90 2006 integrated telephone stopped working a while ago due to a faulty battery. "Volvo on call service required". Due to the high cost I decided to ignore it. But recently the main battery has being dying so I replaced it. But the new battery also died. Seems the faulty telephone battery is drawing 0.5 of an amp constantly. I removed the fuse but this also stopped the radio and sat nav working.
Do I have any options now such as disconnecting the phone itself?
Thanks.
