If it starts with Easy Start, the problem isn't your plugs.
Get the rail pressure figure during cranking.

Any modern diesel will start without glow plugs on even the coldest morning. It may smoke but it will start.

Have they tested the current draw from the battery and through the starter and checked the voltage drop on the live and ground side? Also what tests have they done on the ECT? The good news is that because your car starts with Easy Start, the problem should be easy and quick to solve for a competent mechanic.

Was it only cold starts and if so what kind of temperatures. Reason being there is a widely held belief that these cars don't need the plugs for starting above 6 or 7 degrees C.

it was kind strange as it only happened over night as once car had been started in the morning it was fine , throughout all the day ,then in morning or at lunch time it struggled taking at least 10 seconds pluss of cranking to start but some times it just wouldn't have it at all , but cold weather didn't seem to affect it as it wouldn't go sometimes when it was quite warm
