Smile B200E engine for sale

I bought this engine from a advert in the volvo owners club several years ago and have had it stored in a garage since then.

It comes out of a 1990 240, (from memory an estate)

The history is that the seller was putting in a diesel engine for better fuel consumption.

The engine had only done 25,868 kilometers (Approx 16000 miles ) at the time the engine was taken out.

A copy of the MOT certificate was supplied by him in the year the engine taken out to substantiate the mileage. See photo of the certificate below.

I've now bought a 240 glt which has a 2.3 litre engine so will never use the spare one.

Im looking for a bid of at least £200 which, given the mileage, seems fair.

Buyer to collect .
Details of engine number etc are on the MOT certificate.

Hi Laurent.

I have your message.
Given passage of time since I put the advert up I am not sure if the engine will turn It is on a high shelf in my garage and having suffered back problems I would not want to get it down to find out. I assume that if it did not turn one would take the head off and free it. There is also
the gearbox, an air con motor and the alternator out of the same car which I would like to sell at the same time.

The problem is that I think the transport would be to expensive and if you could not free the engine it would be a waste of your money so it may be better if you sourced on locally.

Regards.

Good thoughts Dave. I reckon Laurant thinking how 'rare' the petrol engines are over here. Most 200's here have the D24 fitted.
You are right tho' delivery costs are gonna be astronomical .
Must say I'd love to be able to slip a 'near new' engine into mine...... If I knew how, lol.
Good luck with the sale.
