Adding 7th seat to 6 seater

Hey all, this is my first post. I searched for a matching thread, but didn't find anything.

We have a '21 XC90 Inscription with 6 seats. We are excited to welcome our 5th child later this year, but we are now regretting getting a 6 seater vs a 7 (laugh). I would match rather just toss in a 7th seat than go through the sell+buying process.

I checked the baseplate in the middle row and found what seems to be the matching threaded mounting spots. However, Volvo "assured" me that it is impossible to put a 7th seat into my vehicle. Based on my findings in my car I am challenging their claim.

Does anyone have information on this conversion?

You might struggle on this forum. This is predominately a UK forum (although we welcome international visitors such as yourself). AFAIK all XC90s sold in the UK are 7 seat cars.

I assume your car is 2, 2, 2 across the 3 rows? UK cars are 2,3,2

Yes, it is 2,2,2.

That is interesting that they are all 7 in UK.
