Default DSTC off - cruise control ring pick up

So I've had an issue with my DSTC being off consistently.

When I start the car it states on for 1 second, then states off. I have the traction control light on and another on the dash.

I was thinking it was the ABS, but this has been changed and have the same fault.

I thought then cv joint. The replacement part came with a ring similar to the second picture.
However I have one pictured in the first picture.

The question I have is what is the difference between the two?
Picture one is magnetic so would work with the ABS sensor as it is a hall effect. Are these replaceable items?
Or can I use the second one?

I have tried 3 different sensors and all come back with the same result of DSTC service required.
Is there a possibility that it could be the wiring at fault?

State year, model and mileage in posts. It helps.
1) That your 2 CV axles (aka half-shafts) are accessorized differently could be your problem.
Where is the pulse ring on the newer one? I assume it's gotta have one.

2) It's been my experience that very worn brakes and spurious DSTC and "anti-lock brake service needed" codes go hand-in-hand.

3) Yes, it's totally possible to have a wiring problem.

Firing the parts cannon is not going to help.

You need to see live data with the car driving and check that all 4 wheels are showing the same speed in motion

Additionally, VIDA should give you a more specific error code as to what is actually wrong
