Crazy to do all those mods yet keep the skinny weak rods and standard turbo.

That is the result of mashing a load of bits together that are poorly matched

That is slower than my car with an M cam on a 13c at 13 psi.🤣
So we can conclude that just sticking a cam in won't make it any faster.

Found the dyno sheet he posted and as you can see it leans out up top. Like an idiot he kept driving it like that for a couple of months, and together with too tight a valve clearance (and/or them not being up to the job), the valves failed and totalled the engine.

If that is considered 229WHP ^^then I've definitely beat it by miles

Yeah I agree totally, for now i'm just going to put an adjustable cam pulley on there (it needs adjusting anyway after head Skim) and leave it at that.

I can't really get any more out of the T3 Turbo thats already running at 16 (17 psi spike), intake temps are stable at 32C with no detonation but its still a 48 Hot side exhaust and i don't think it'll flow anymore on the Cold side either.

I can imagine the back pressure from the EXH housing alone will be to much if i go anymore above 16-17 PSI at top end.

when the adjustable cam pulley is fitted ill send it on the dyno and see what its pushing and ill let everyone know what result is.

You can always make more power with the same boost. More flow, it's an 8v head, it has more potential if it is ported. Valve back cuts, valve seat angles, shorter intake path or less restricted. And yes of course, the cams. It's not always about the boost.

That's the only UK guy I know who tuned a Motronic car. There are a lot of other videos on youtube but they all tend to be on LH2.2/4. This one is pretty good between a 940 and 390bhp Evo, from 2nd gear to the top of 4th. Spec on the 940:

- 530 head, Enem V16T cam, adjustable cam gear, uprated springs & retainers
- Port-matched head and manifolds, Cometic 1,5mm MLS HG, head studs
- eBay T04E turbo @ 1,7 bar / 25 psi, ported 90+ manifold
- Tial 38 mm EWG w/ screamer pipe
- Full 3 inch exhaust w/ 100 cpi race cat
- Chipped ECU's, 7000 rpm limit
- Bosch 012 AFM, Bosch 440 cc injectors, SPA Turbo AFPR @ 3,5 bar / 52 psi, AEM 320 lph fuel pump, hard-wired fuel pump
- Iveco 75E15 intercooler, 3 inch IC piping, no BOV
- TTV lightweight flywheel, Sachs 850R clutch kit

The 90+ manifold is said to be good for 10hp extra and better spool compared to the -90 manifold. I have an uncracked good condition 90+ manifold available if you want it.
