I can't edit my post, so apologies for the double post.
I don't seem to be able to get Lucas from parts shops. I can only get it online. However, I did come across some Wynn's stuff that has the same description as the Lucas one, more or less. Its called "Wynns Automatic Transmission and power steering stop leak and conditioner".

Unfortunately, I have no experience with the Wynns product so can't endorse it.
I have the Lucas in the '99 V70 which had a slight leak around the pinion, when I first got it, plus it also got rid of the flat spots I was experiencing. It's remarkable stuff. They even offer a promise of your money back if it doesn't work. You can add a bottle to existing clean fluid, just pull out enough from the reservoir and top up with the Stop Leak or you could go the whole hog and drain and completely fill the system with the product.

Yes, the pump reinstall on 850 is very simple... One other thing was that it was better to refurbish the original pump, than to buy the cheaper aftermarket one... And the labour here is not that dear (yet) ...

I don’t know whether this is simply a placebo effect, but the steering already feels lighter and I’ve only done a couple of miles. Only time will tell, but it was worth a shot for the sake of an £8 product. Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.

I don’t know how much the whole system holds exactly, but its definitely more than you put in the reservoir. I’ll see how it goes. Needs more miles to go through the system properly. I appreciate the help though. Thank you.
