An oil pressure gauge wont tell you when its warm . Do you know how it works? It has a variable capacity altered by the ECU The oil warms up as fast as the coolant now in a few minutes due to the heat exchanger which volvo have had on their alloy engines since 1990.
i wouldn't worry about hybrids , just get in and drive how you wish volvo and all the other manufacturers have all angles covered .

The TSB for the switch to Volvo VCC RBS0-2AE 0W-20 with some BS about sticking piston rings - it was to address catastrophic engine failures. Just like my Volvo dealer has never heard about failing ERAD - utter BS. They're just liars.
Variable speed or ratio pumps aside - idle oil pressure always tells you plenty about oil temp. there will be a significant difference between hot and cold.
