Is it normal to have vibration on a steering wheel in D5 Volvo or if it is a defect?

It might be worth checking to make sure somebody hasn't fitted a polybush in the "upper engine mount" i.e. the one on the RHS top of the engine - I fitted one as a replacement for the normal "rubber" one found in a petrol V70 P2 - honestly thought there might be risk of "white finger" the vibration was so bad.
