Had to take the alternator off on mine, I didn't think removing the air con'd pipe was really possible. The Steering pump just unbolts and can be moved out of the way without disconnecting the pipes.
However, I had to remove the bottom radiator hose to get all alternator bolts out. So I had to drain the coolant.
